While the Iris isn’t nearly as appealing looking as the Nest, it does have the advantage of working with a variety of products from Loews. That means you can go to one retailer and walk away with all the necessary equipment to convert your home into a smart one (aka a smart home).
So when lights are triggers the Iris thermostat uses this as indicator of activity. It will also work in tandem with your home’s Iris security system.
There is also an app that lets you login and check in on your home’s heat or AC. In any instance, no matter what, you’ll be saving money and time with the Iris since it works with a host of other products.
3. Honeywell Lyric
A dial lets you control temperature on the fly, while WiFi connects it to your home, allowing for remote access and quick review of your abode’s energy usage.
A geofencing option will automatically set the Lyric to “away”, enabling the system to shut down and save more greenbacks. Moreover, it’s designed to be DIY, or do it yourself, so you don’t have to higher a contractor and pay more cash out of your pocket. Pair that with a system that has an exceptionally bright screen, and can read the outside temperature, and this thermostat will have you saving more money than you thought possible.
